Toutle Lake School District

The Toutle Lake School District has faced an onslaught of change in the last four years, with a new superintendent each year. As they welcomed their newest superintendent over the summer, they were eager for the school board and superintendent team to build effective working relationships and to build a foundation for the new group. Transitions can bring challenges in the form of communication, collaboration, and vision and Toutle Lake's ultimate goal was to conquer these challenges in order to provide the best possible outcomes for the students they serve.

To tackle this challenge, the district brought in our team of coaches to facilitate a twelve-month professional development program that’s all about strengthening teamwork and communication. The program starts with coaching sessions that help everyone get a better grasp of their own unique strengths and identify any potential conflicts. It also provides a shared language for how each person approaches their work, reducing interpersonal tensions and making it easy to discuss the items at hand. The ultimate goal is to get everyone on the same page so they can focus on what really matters: creating strategies that boost student success. The Toutle Lake team is seeing amazing results and have expressed feeling energized for the the future.
